Explosive kept for river project explodes, no casualty

UJJAIN: Panic prevailed for a while when people heard an explosion near the Madarsa in Bheravgarh area here on Wednesday evening. Police reached the spot and it was found that the explosion occured due to gelatin rods kept in a hut.
SP M S Verma told TOI that the contractor engaged in laying pipeline of Khan River diversion project had kept the explosives for blasting purpose.
No one was injured in the incident added the SP. The police were investigating as to whether it was laxity of some one and action would follow, he said.
